Description

SAC takes caring Christians like YOU on short-term mission trips to the former Soviet Union.  During this trip you will typically get to have hands-on missions experience leading or helping with bringing humanitarian aid, crafts, games, sports, and sharing the Gospel.  At these places you will visit children and youth that are starving for attention and the visit of a caring adult.  Our team will plan to spend multiple days at one or two of the ministry sites planned for the week so we can spend quality time with the kids, build lasting relationships, and share the love of Jesus Christ.

During this trip we will teach English as a Second Language (ESL), lead in small group crafts, lead sports and game activities, and possibly perform dramas as called upon by the camp staff.  We will incorporate our team into the life of the camp and find ways to share the Gospel and plant the seeds of faith. 

Mission Objective

Our objective is to live on site at this camp, spend time with these kids to build relationships, and share the love of Christ by becoming His hands and feet while working with a servant’s heart under His guidance. 

Accommodations

The team will stay at the summer camp usually in dorm like accommodations separate from the children.

Itinerary

Our typical trips depart on a Friday and return on a Sunday so that 17 day trip will take 11 days of your vacation time. Typical trips will have the following itinerary, but it’s a mission trip… be prepared to be flexible and serve at God’s calling!

Friday – Depart USA
Saturday – Arrive in Russia
Sunday – Attend local church and meet with translators
Monday to Friday of the following week – Work at Summer Camp
Saturday – Touring and Shopping
Sunday – Depart Russia and arrive in USA

Trip Costs

$2,100 per person + International Airfare

• Airfare will be approximately $900 - $1100 for international airfare from the United States to Russia. 
• The total includes all meals, lodging, visas, in-country transportation, trip medical insurance, translators, and bottled water. 
• SAC will arrange airfare and confirm costs at time of booking. 

Deadlines

Trip Registration Deadline:  Saturday, March 27, 2010
Due at time of registration:

• $300 non-refundable deposit applied to the mission trip
• Valid Passport (must be signed and valid for 6 months beyond return date)
• All registration paperwork sent to Strategic Angel Care

Airfare Due:  Saturday, April 24, 2010

Final Payment Due:  Saturday, June 12, 2010
