Description

SAC takes caring Christians like YOU on short-term mission trips to the former Soviet Union.  During this trip you will typically get to have hands-on missions experience leading or helping with bringing humanitarian aid, crafts, games, sports, and sharing the Gospel.  At these places you will visit children and youth that are starving for attention and the visit of a caring adult.  Our team will plan to spend multiple days at one or two of the ministry sites planned for the week so we can spend quality time with the kids, build lasting relationships, and share the love of Jesus Christ.

This trip will work with the kids that attend a Day Center for at-risk kids in the local community.  SAC has worked with this ministry site for 5 years and we have built a relationship with the director and her staff.  SAC may also include visits to a small Orphanage where we have worked in the past, but is in transition. 

Mission Objective

Our objective is to visit these sites multiple times during the week, spend time with these kids to build relationships, and share the love of Christ by becoming His hands and feet while working with a servant’s heart under His guidance. 

Accommodations

The team will stay in a hotel or apartment arrangements in double-occupancy rooms with a private bathroom.

Itinerary

Our typical trips depart on a Friday and return on a Sunday so that 10-day trip will only take 6 days of your vacation time.  For those having extra time, they can stay for the second mission trips scheduled back-to-back mission trips and stay 17 days.  Typical trips will have the following itinerary, but it’s a mission trip… be prepared to be flexible and serve at God’s calling!

Friday – Depart USA
Saturday – Arrive in Russia
Sunday – Attend local church and meet with translators
Monday to Friday – Work at ministry sites
Saturday – Touring and Shopping
Sunday – Depart Russia and arrive in USA

Trip Costs

$1,900 per person + International Airfare

• Airfare will be approximately $800 - $1000 for international airfare from the United States to Russia. 
• The total includes all meals, lodging, visas, in-country transportation, trip medical insurance, translators, and bottled water. 
• SAC will arrange airfare and confirm costs at time of booking. 

Deadlines

Trip Registration Deadline:  Saturday, January 16, 2010
Due at time of registration:

• $300 non-refundable deposit applied to the mission trip
• Valid Passport (must be signed and valid for 6 months beyond return date)
• All registration paperwork sent to Strategic Angel Care

Airfare Due:  Saturday, February 20, 2010

Final Payment Due:  Saturday, March 20, 2010
