Teenage Trip Participant Guidelines


“Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” – II Timothy 2:22



This “Teen Contract” was developed by teens for teens traveling on domestic and international mission trips. It was passed onto me by Organization MIR in St. Petersburg, Russia. SAC expects teenage trip participants to sign this agreement below.


Pledge:

  1. I agree to both hold other teammates accountable and let them hold me accountable

  2. I will avoid compromising situations with members of the opposite sex.

  3. I will guard my heart, mind, and body at all times.

  4. I will prepare myself by making wise decisions in regard to clothing, etc.

  5. In the event that I disobey these guidelines, I will be open to suggestions from my teammates and I will ultimately submit to my team leader.

  6. I will cooperate with the measures of discipline dealt me.


I Will Observe the Following Precautions:

  1. I will hold each other accountable

  2. I will avoid being alone with members of the opposite sex

  3. I will be especially careful during situations that involve dance

  4. I will watch what I wear


I Agree to the Following Disciplinary Measures:

  1. Upon witnessing an incident, a team member may confront a teammate one-on-one.

  2. If the person does not respond, the witness may go to the Mission Trip Leader who will make the ultimate judgment about consequences.


Possible Consequences:

  1. The team member may lose privileges related to the incident.

  2. The team member may apologize to the rest of the team.

  3. The team member may discuss the incident with the other person/people who were involved in order to avoid future conflict.

  4. The final determination in all cases will come from the Mission Trip Leader, who reserves the right to send anyone home or have them confined in the hotel for the remaining part of the trip if it is decided that it would be inappropriate for them to continue being part of the missionary team.
