Mission Trip Specific Job Description




Position: Humanitarian Aid Coordinator


Purpose: To manage the Humanitarian Aid items brought on the mission trip


Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Work with the Mission Trip Director to determine all Humanitarian Aid items that will be brought to the mission sites.


  1. Pack all Humanitarian Aid items in ministry suitcases ensuring each checked piece of luggage does not weigh over 55 pounds.


    1. Airlines permit 70 pounds per piece for international travel, but Russian customs permit only 50kg per person which is 110 pounds for the 2 checked pieces of luggage combined.


  1. Using luggage tags or other means have the luggage identified as to which ministry site it is suppose to be delivered to.


  1. Working with the Luggage Coordinator, ensure these ministry suitcases are delivered to the ministry site upon arrival overseas.


  1. Working with the Luggage Coordinator, ensure the empty ministry suitcases are returned to the individuals at the hotel prior to return to the USA.


  1. Ensure ministry suitcases are returned to the owners within 7 days of return from the mission trip.
